Made by local artisans who mix sand with a commercial glue and then press into a custom rubber mold. The sand art comes out as hard as ceramic, lasting for years. And not to worry as the sand does not come from local beaches … The artist are environmentally-conscious coastal residents and source the sand from a local South Florida quarry that also supplies sand for beach (re)nourishment projects.
