Description
Crewelwork is the art of enriching a woven fabric using a two-ply worsted twist wool and embroidery stitches. The essence of crewelwork is the lovely motifs and the use of many stitches, which bring the design to life. Learn some of the basic crewel stitches as Trilby, designed by Pat Allen, develops in your hands.

Materials needed to complete: linen twill fabric and Appleton Crewel Wool
This is a downloadable pattern, first published in May 2007 issue of Cross-Stitch Needlework magazine. Supplies used to stitch this pattern were available at the time of publication. However, you may need to find substitutes if supplies are no longer available.
